EUdaphobase calendar of events

As a result of COVID-19, physical meetings are currently not possible. Almost all activities are now taking place online; the Working Groups (WG) are meeting ± regularly via video conferences. The (tentative) dates of these virtual meetings can be found on the EUdaphobase calendar, accessible via the link: team.eudaphobase.eu. To participate (all are welcome and encouraged), contact the Working Group chairs (contact information on the Working Group pages here).

We are considering larger physical meetings only towards the end of this year/next year, but this will depend on the pandemic developments.

The EUdaphobase COST Action has ended; Edaphobase and data submission remains open to all

The EUdaphobase COST Action officially closed on 9 March 2024. However, other COST Actions are still running and may be joined. To do so please first read the guidelines in this Link and contact the chair of the Action. In your message, please specify which Working Group you would like to join. 

For details on the EUdaphobase Working Groups, please refer to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the Action.

Nonetheless, the Edaphobase data warehouse on soil biodiversity is still being maintained and run by the Secnckenberg Society of Nature Research. The data warehouse remains permanently open for data submissions. To submit data, click on the link below.

Establishing an open-access, pan-European knowledge warehouse for soil biodiversity. Soil-biodiversity data has been collected throughout Europe for decades, which can be collated and used for developing assessment tools for soil biodiversity, soil quality, soil ecosystem services and soil protection in general.
